This "quick + easy = finished" pattern is made with 12 fat quarters. You can also use your stash for the strips.

Finished size is 58" X 58". Great size for a baby or toddler. Also, great size for Grammy as a lap quilt.

This pattern is now available as a PDF file, once you have paid for the pattern, you can download it from your computer and not have to wait for shipping.

"Quick + Easy = Finished"


"BFF... best friends forever" is a quick and easy pattern to sew. Large scale prints work wonderfully as a block.

This pattern can be adjusted to just about any size you want... add blocks or decrease the number of blocks to get the exact size you need.

Finished size for quilt shown is: 64" x 64"

Here is a close up view of "Sugar Plum" All the seams are sewn on the front side of the quilt.

This is a baby size quilt (44"x44"). The quilt is made with "osnaburg" instead of batting.

"Cut, sew, quilt as you go"... you will be finished in no time. Once you finish sewing the binding... the entire quilt is finished.

Road to California 2012

Another "Road to California" has come and gone... we had a great show and enjoyed our time with everyone. Made many new friends and checked in with those we've know for many years.

Newest quilt design is showcasing to my left, your right. "Sugar Plum" is a darling baby quilt featuring fabrics by "Blend". The line is called "Believe" and it has the cutest little fairies dancing around.

Spring Market... Salt Lake City Utah

Spring Market was held in Salt Lake City Utah... beautiful snow capped mountains... plus, the many wonderful quilt shops to visit (We went to three)!

Here is a picture of my booth where I introduced three new quilts: "Sweetie Pie", "Mama's Backyard" and "P.S. I love you".

These quilts are now on display at "Quilt N Things" in Montrose, Ca. Patterns are also available in the shop.

I'm always working at the shop on Fridays. Stop by for a visit!

Road to California

"Road to California 2011"

Thank you sweet friends for an amazing show this year!! It was good to see so many of you again... as well as meet new quilters!

My dear friend and long arm quilter standing here with me.... Pam Dransfeldt... she is a very talented long arm quilter and has quilted many of my quilts for me. Yes, she does do custom orders... email me for her information.

Thank you again for an outstanding show... we are already planning for next year.

P.S. My brown and pink quilt hanging in the corner is currently featured in "Keepsake Quilting Magazine"... how exciting is that!?!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! The two older boys and their darling girlfriends came home and spent Christmas day with us. Our time together was wonderful.

Stop and rest a moment from all the worries that surround you... enjoy a cup of cafe mocha (my favorite).

I wonder if she knew that someday, my favorite color would be red.

The little red Cardinal was incorporated into my quilt, as a gentle reminder to me... of my mom's favorite little red bird.

Strawberry cake block

Black/White stripped fabric, soft white polka dot fabric and strawberry on the left, are made with fabrics designed by Holly Holderman from "Lakehouse Dry Goods."

I used the starch method of applique for this block.



Block a Month class starting in February 2011... I will be teaching this quilt at "Quilt'n Things" in Montrose Calif.

Here is my newest pattern in the "Mama" series. So cute with lots of fun applique shapes. You can sew a different block each month and embellish as desired for the final look you wish to achieve. Personalize in the colors of your own kitchen and everyone will fall in love with your finished quilt.

"Sunshine in Mama's Kitchen" was designed for the perfect wall space in my farmhouse kitchen. This quilt has a country feel with a bit of French country charm.

This darling quilt will be available for purchase after November 10th.
