"My grandmother was an artist, quilter and gardener, and her influence on my life remains with me, even today. At the age of four, I would sit on the floor next to her chair and watch with fascination, as her foot would move quickly back and forth on her treadle sewing machine.
...My first sewing machine was purchased with babysitting money that I had saved, and my first quilt was made from scraps of fabric that I had used in creating my own clothes for high school. The desire to design quilts only grew with time. I wanted quilts I knew I would enjoy having in my own home...thus began Swaddling Stitches in 1998.
...On a personal note, I married my college sweetheart 25 years ago and have three wonderful boys. We live in a heartfelt country home nestled in the foothills of southern California in a small town that seems to have stopped in time so that one easily forgets they are in the midst of Los Angeles. I am truly blessed and pray that blessing upon you."
